Work ranged from routine maintenance of the 13th-century fabric to major restoration projects on the nave, chapter house, and western towers — gaining deep experience in medieval construction techniques and stone types.

Conservation of the ornamental stonework on the Palace of Westminster — one of the most recognised Gothic Revival buildings in the world.
